Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 26, 2026
This policy explains what the GridMe iPhone app (“GridMe”, “the app”) and the website gridme.app do with your information. GridMe is made by Drink More Warm Water, LLC (“we”, “us”).
The short version: we do not run a server that receives your writing, we do not ask you to sign up, and neither the app nor the website contains analytics, advertising or tracking.
No account
GridMe has no sign-up and no account. We never ask for your name, email address or phone number to use the app.
Your memos and settings
Everything you write in GridMe (your memos), and the settings you enter, such as your birth month and life expectancy, are stored on your device by default, in the app’s local database. They do not leave your device unless you turn on iCloud Sync.
iCloud Sync
iCloud Sync is part of GridMe Pro and is off until you turn it on. When it is on, your memos are stored in the private CloudKit database of your own iCloud account, and your birth month and life expectancy in that account’s iCloud key-value storage, so they appear on all your devices signed in to the same account.
This data is held by Apple under your iCloud account and Apple’s privacy terms. We, the developer, cannot access, read or recover it. If you turn iCloud Sync off, the data already on the device stays there.
Purchases
GridMe Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple handles payment; we never see your payment details or your Apple Account.
To confirm whether Pro is unlocked, the app uses RevenueCat, Inc. as our service provider. RevenueCat receives an anonymous App User ID generated by the app, the App Store receipt and transaction information for your purchase, and basic technical details sent with each request (such as app version, iOS version and App Store country). It does not receive your memos. The app shows this User ID in Settings so you can quote it if you contact us about a purchase. RevenueCat’s handling of this data is described in its privacy policy.
Photos
When you save a card, iOS asks for permission to add photos to your library. GridMe uses this permission only to save the card images you choose to save. It cannot read your photo library.
No analytics, ads or tracking
Neither the app nor the website contains analytics, advertising, crash reporting from third parties or tracking of any kind. We do not sell or share personal information. The website does not use cookies and loads nothing from other services.
Children
GridMe is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because the app does not collect personal information from anyone, there is nothing for us to delete; if you believe otherwise, contact us.
Your choices
You can delete any memo in the app. Deleting the app removes the data stored on the device. Data synced through iCloud can be managed or deleted in your device’s iCloud settings.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date above. If a change affects how your data is handled, we will also say so in the app’s release notes.
